    Default Ferit Ring for Hminbird

Huminbird sent me a ring because the TM was interfering with my sonar. Problem is, no instructions! Anyone know where I install it?

Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

Undo your transducer cable from the back of your unit. Wrap it as many times as you can through the ferrite ring but try to get at least 6 - 7 wraps. Leave enough room for the ring to be inside the bow panel where it won't be seen and still be able to hook it back up to the unit. Make sure you separate the transducer cables from the power cable under the bow panel while you are there. You are now good to go. Hope this works for you!

ps: be sure to separate the transducer cable coming up from the trolling motor from the trolling motor power cable. A lot of guys tie wrap the transducer cable along the trolling motor cable since it's convenient but that can cause a lot of interference on your unit when you press the trolling motor pedal.
