    Default humminbird 999ci hd si

Anyone running one of these?? I actually found one new for $1283.00 no tax and $8.00 shipping. 200$ less then everywhere else. Jumped all over it. Was considering a hds 7 touch but went hummingbird cause of future Ipilot link setup... does anyone run one? what r you thoughts? hope I picked the right one!

Screen size is a big plus. I bought a 597ci hd di from brain last year and that unit was great still have it on the bow right now but always wanted a bigger screen and this unit fits the bill. I run navionics for the one reason only lakemasters does not cover my home lake of santee cooper. Still playing around with the thing keep in mind that this unit is still new to me so I guess we will be learning at the same time. If you would like to see some snap shots look under side imaging I posted some pics in there about 2 weeks ago. One other thing do not be alarmed when you open the box and see the huge transducer.

The 999ci HD Si units took the place of the 998 units for this year and they should work similar to them. There should be many posts about the 998 and 999 units by now.

Do you have any questions about the 999?

I have the 899 and so far I'm very pleased. I think the only difference from the 999 is the screen size. I've only had it out once, but did play with it a lot. I use the Lakemaster chip.

I just got mine up and running this past weekend. Very nice so far! I have a 597ci HD DI transom mounted ducer with unit at bow with navionics and 999 ducer transom mounted and will get lakemaster card with future plans of going with I-pilot Link. I will probably relocate 597 transducer to the bow when I get the terrova. I think you're going to like it, knight!!

The 999ci is amazing but I have very little to compare it to. It came in a couple of weeks ago but just got it installed over the weekend. I played with it a few hours but haven't spent any time with the in book. Hopefully, I'll have some time for both this week and will be glad to contribute.

For the mount, I wanted the ability to spin it around for a view from the bow and we leave the boat on the water half the time so we needed quick release. Reluctantly I went with the smaller ram mount for space reasons and at first I was worried about the stability compared to the larger unit in Beans post. I gave it a decent test in some pretty good chop this weekend and it seem to handle it fine.
