Has anyone used this or still use this software, I was looking at getting a map card but the lake I fish the most are not in HD. My plan is to get a terrova motor next year. Not knowing when HB may include my lakes in the Lakemaster HD lakes I figured this may be a better fit to create my own. I am using a 998c hd si. If so is it worth getting the pro version due to the side scan.

It's shipping, but a software update is necessary for it to work on the units.....it is coming out now for the 2014 units, but will be a while for the previous series.
Only good new is you can get started generating maps on your computer.
my question would be does the recording have to be on the zero line card, or can they be on another sd card and then ran through the program
The recording can be saved to any suitable SD card.....the program to covert the map runs on your PC.....You can use old recordings if you have them.
Check out the thread on tab #3 http://www.crappie.com/crappie/showt...auto-chart-pro. I got a lot of good feedback on this thread
Not only can you use old sonar recordings but you can also use old tracks as well. If you do not want, or have, the Si sonar you can use just the 2D (water depth) data to build your own maps.
The Zero Lines card is only needed to display the map data on your Humminbird unit.
I have my own copy of AutoCharts Pro and will be making maps for a couple of local guys – if they will just remember to take a memory card with them when they go fishing! So don't forget yours.![]()
