    Default Hummingbird 787 C2i

Just wondering if anyone is using one and if so what are the pros & cons. Thinking about putting a used but good shape one on my Panfisher 16.

That’s an older model unit there BullShoals from about 2007 – 2008, but still a good 2D sonar unit. Not many changes in the 2D sonar we used in this model unit and what we use now.
Will it come with the DualBeam or QuadraBeam transducer?
Will it have an operations manual with it (you can get a pdf file of one if needed).

I suspect it has dual beam transducer. The manual is with it. It also comes with a plug in weatherSense and HotMaps chip of this area. Not sure which chip (silver, gold or platinum) is in it.

    Thanks for the info Greg.

That Quadrabeam xducer has been touted as a "poor man's SI" because the outbound left and right 455kHz oval shaped cones allow more width of bottom coverage (as well as knowing left and right)...

You might think about getting a Quadrabeam xducer...

Well I had to order a new transducer W/cable and thee only one shown on the web sight was a dual-beam model. Had everything installed today (just about had to tear the boat apart) and after I got home I find out the quad beam was available. Go figure. No sense in tearing everything apart again.

My best buddy bought mine from me when it was a year old, when I upped the ante to SI.
"Purchase Date: Apr 25, 2006" - here it is still going strong, eight years later.
    Good machine!
