Lowrance HDS 2.5 upgrade.
Finally got my HDS 7 SI and Xi5 installed. Will a new HDS come with the 2.5 upgrade or will I need to do the upgrade? Powered it up in barn but didn't note what it was running. And a big thanks to the member who posted about the yellow wires being wake up wires. SS would not power up but I remembered reading that post this morning and after making the connection, she fired right up. Won't get to test things out until Friday. Too sore, too old and tired from all the work involved in this project.

I really doubt that your 7 will have the latest software, haven't read the release notes but from what I understand it's for the spotlight scan. Look around in the system menu (I think) to find out what version it's running. It's been a while since I've been in mine but try menu, menu, system, about. The software version should be listed beside "application".
