If your just out searching go with the 83kHz and get a wider coverage of the bottom. Once you find something go back with the 200kHz which is a narrower beam. Same way of thinking on the HDI in 800. I use 800 to get better detail but mostly in deeper water.
Thanks I'll try that.
Those look like great shots to me. Makes me wish I hadn't sold my 7 with my boat. What lake are you on there?
Lake of the Ozarks around Warsaw. Not much structure. Will be using on Truman in a few weeks.
How do you take a snapshot?
According to the Operation Manual :
You can save screenshots by inserting a micro-sd card into the card slot & pressing the Power button, then the Zoom (+) button. (you cannot save screenshots on a map card)
This is the same way I save screenshots on my Lowrance Elite 5DSI unit. The unit only has one card slot, so if you have a map card in the slot, you'd have to remove it & replace it with a blank micro-sd card. The map cards are "read only", so they cannot be used to take screenshot images.
You would then have to have a card reader for your computer ... put the card in the reader & download the image to your computer's "pictures" files. Once there, you can download them to this site, the same way you do for pictures/videos.
Here's the latest example of a screenshot I took, following the procedure I just described :

The clarity of those shots are great. It's one of the reasons I'm putting a Elite-5 on my bow.
