Default 597Ci HD Di vs 688clCi HD Di

Which one is better? Both are on sale at bass pro and they seem to have the same features. The 597 is only $375. Am I missing something? I'm wanting to get into spider rigging. Will these do? Should I go with the 597 or 688? Both have gps and and down image. I want to use a puck on my trolling motor. Your help will be greatly appreciated!!!!

The 597 is just being replaced by the 6 series. For the money that's the one I would buy. Haven't read anything that would make me want the 6 over the 5.

I have the regular HB 597cihd & love it for spider rigging. Color screne shows up good & big enough to see mounted on deck. The 597 series has more pixels than the 6 series for more detailed graph on 2-d. I don't mind not having preset buttons because in menu you can choose what you want to see as far as screne options. If it shows fish, be ready cause your gonna get bit.

I guess I'll go with the 597. I guess a puck will work with down image on the trolling motor?

When you say "puck" ... do you mean a TM style DI xducer ...??

HB has a TM adapter kit for the stock XNT 9 DI T xducer ...

Transducer Shield and Saver also has a TM bracket for the XNT 9 DI T ...

Thanks Ricky. I may have to go with that setup. I was under the impression I could use a XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T | Trolling Motor Transducers | 710235-1. I'm not sure if this make the images not as clear.

The XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T will only work with the 800/900/1100 DI units ...as these larger units are the only HB DI units that have an additional "Beam Select" menu for 83kHz/200kHz...

It's in the Memphis spring store sale. Don't know if the little rock store is having the same sale. Give them a call. Or check the store on the net. Should be able to pull up store and check their sales flyers.
