something a little dirrerent. Lowrance 100c flasher for ice fishing.

I'm replacing my 100c on my boat with a HDS8 and thought about buying the Lowrance ice pack that has the case with battery and transducer. The 100c has a full screen circular flasher mode plus 2d color sonar. How would the flasher mode compare to a real flasher or one of the fancy Marcum LCD flashers as far as update speed and target separation. Thanks.

It wont compare to those expensive units but you can use it in sonar mode very well. I have an elite 5 icemachine and i only use it in sonar mode.

Thanks. I may just pick up a blue plug ice transducer sometime but still get a flasher.
