Default Can I flip flop my 998 and 958 from helm to bow & back???

    I have the following setup:
    998 SI HD at helm
958 HD at bow (not DI)
788 HD at stern for rigger
SI & dual beam transduces with y-splitter on transom going to helm 998
US2 transducer on trolling motor going to bow 958
Standard GPS puck at bow to 958
HS GPS at stern to 998
    Ethernet between 998, 958 & 788

    My question is this:
Could I switch the 998 at helm with the 958 at bow and still get SI on the 998 at the bow?
I guess the real question is, if the SI ducer is connected to the 958, would the 958 pass the SI signal through to the 998?
I am guessing the answer is no but one can always hope.

    Trout Bum,
The answer is “No”. The unit connected to the (Si) transducer has to have the full capabilities of that transducer in order to share it over the Ethernet.
