Humminbird 999 and 899

What's the difference between the 899 si and the 999 si. Local academy has the 999 For 999 and bass pro has the 899 for the same price , I see that the 999 HAS a bigger screen which don't make since why there the same price, do you lose any featuers

If they got the 999 for $1000, I would gab one it's a better unit. Usually, about 400-500 more.

Academy sports and outdoor s has it. I just didn't know if it was like the 598 to 698 , you get a bigger screen but lose sonar coverage

I meant the same screen but you do gain quick settings and card slots but lose coverage, getting confused done looked at to many

I hear ya, these things get confusing when you're looking for new electronics. You must have found a local deal, academy online prices are way way higher on both units.

Are you sure they weren't a 898 and a 999 priced about the same...??

Regardless...speaking of the models you listed...:

Same 2 card slots and 3 preset buttons...

The 999ci HD SI Combo comes with the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T xducer...(455kHz/800kHz)..

The 899ci HD SI Combo...comes with the Compact SI xducer (455kHz)....but it can be upgraded to the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T (455kHz/800kHz)...thru the HB xducer exchange program...
