Default HDS Gen2 touch in cold weather.

I think I have narrowed my choice down to the HDS 7 touch or the HDS 8 button model. I like the idea of the touch screen but does it work okay in say 35F weather? I imagine it would not work with a glove on?
I would gain 1.4 inches of screen with the HDS 8 but have to find a place to mount the hub box. Buying a new unit is tougher than selecting a new truck. any thoughts or opinions are welcome, Thanks.
PS:I will be getting the bundle with SI

Mine is fine in the cold. No glove though, I've thought about buying a stylus. They are great units, super fast and easy to access the menus. I think you'd be happy with either one.

I bought gloves that work on cell phones and tablets on ebay. I have tried them on and they fit well. I have not used them on the water yet. 3 weeks fron today I leave for Mississippi! Yee ha!

Maybe someday I'll be able to afford a touch screen unit...

Both units are nice. The touch will have no problem in cold weather. Here are a pair of gloves that work well on the touch screen. Also a stylus will work.

The only thing I seen was a demo with someone splashing water on it and it seemed to work fine. I'll ponder this for a couple more weeks and maybe go to Cabelas again to play with them and then make a choice.

When you get ready to buy check the prices with our sponsors. They can beat the big box stores.
