Do I want DI or SI?

lowrance makes si and di that works pretty darned well and very easy to use

I would definitely go with a Humminbird SI unit. Either the 898 or 998 or, if it firs your budget a 1198.

Last I knew Brian at BBG had some great deals on 898 units maybe he might have some 998's left.

Get both. You will regret it if you dont.
