Default Need longer shaft on trolling motor

Got transom mount Minn kota Endura that I have turned the head on to make a Bow mount. Fabricated a Bow mount bracket but now to my horror I discovered the shaft will need to be about 1 foot longer. It was going to be close anyway but with the bracket and plywood on the boat that I mounted, it raised the motor up a couple inches. We are going to still water test it but I know it is too high.

Can a new longer shaft be put on this motor without having to run new wires? How much am I looking at for a new shaft, labor, possibly wire? (ball park). Thanks for any info.CF

Bet you can do it yourself, shafts aren't bad expensive either, think the replacement shaft for my PD was less than 50 bucks. Wires will most likely need to be lengthened but this too is fairly easy, just be sure to make GOOD connections and then shrink wrap em too. Should be some you tube vids on the install. Good luck.
