I have been using the winter to learn how to use my new Lowrance Elite 7, I have read a lot on the net about being able to adjust the Elite 7 so you can see your jig head on the display. I have used many graphs over they ears and have never been able to see my jig head with the sonar.
Is this factual or more wishful thinking on the internet? If it is possible to see your jig or baits with the sonar whats the catch to adjust the unit?

Wade 2131, I think the water column has to be deeper. I have tried mine in about 15 feet of water and the cone angle of the transducer is very narrow \. On 200 htz the bottom coverage is only about 5 feet and sensitivity is also a factor.Remember the cone beam is very small leaving the transducer and as cane pole stated it must be within that beam. Try seeing it in DI. Good luck .......crappie1133
