    Default bow mounted fish finder

I have a 2012 Carolina skiff DLV 198 and would like to install a fish finder on the Bow, i would like some suggestions on a good unit for this purpose. And if anyone has one mounted on a DLV I would like to see some pic, because I don't know of a good position for it. It will be used mainly to find the depth, and structure.

Do you have a dollar amount you are looking to spend for this or a cap on what you will spend?
Do you want a color of monochrome (black and white) display?
How large of display do you want?
GPS with the ability to add mapping cards or not?
What sonar capabilities do you want up front: 2D sonar only, 2D + DI sonar, 2D, Si and Di sonar?

If you fish spider rigging I would think you would want GPS and map card with conture lines. Ability to mark way points of structure you find on that unit. Remember you spend way more time on the bow than you do behind console. Check withBrian at BBG marine tell him your from CDC and ask what he might have on close out. He did have some HumminBird 788's on sale in your budget that is a excellent unit at an exceptional price.
