Default help Humminbird 998 will not power up

I went fishing and my Hummingbird 998 would not power on, I came home found I was only getting 2v to it, I found the loose connection, and now have 12v to it, and it still willnot power up,
any ideals? and suggestions? or do I need to send to huimmindird for service?

    Thanks

It may be getting 12v but still not getting enough amperage to power the unit...

I would suggest having the battery load tested...

Do you know anyone with a HB unit you can cross test with...??...(it doesn't have to be an SI unit...the power cables on the units are the same...)

If the power is adequate, make sure that the polarity did not get reversed to the unit.

As Rickie stated, the cable connectors are the same on the 1197. Only the cable collector is different so you will need to remove the cables from the collector first before testing.
