    Default should i submerg in water


    going out this morning to try out my ducer. I just puttied it to the hull....now do I need to submerge it with water while i'm out there to get a signal or shoot thru a dry hull?

    Obviously the boat has to be in the water. If you are asking if you need to dump water over the ducer in your boat the answer is no. If it is properly installed it will read through the boat just fine.

    Oh you should have filled the putty area with water....they were saying to only use the putty to sort of hold the ducer in place, but when you test, you should fill the well with water.

    i launched it today and it looked pretty good while being dry just have play around with it,,,,i think i'kk glue right there. but when i tryed to bring the motor down ...well it wouldn't go down i had the tilt motor replace about 3 months ago. on my way back i dropped it off hopfully they'll honer the warrenty. get it fixed and rap it up for the season.
