    Default Humminbird 2012 Software Release Removable Readouts for 898/999 Side Imaging Units.


    You will have the ability to remove the readout boxes on the Left side of your Side Imaging View and now have the depth and the temp displayed at the bottom of the screen. Now you can maximize your viewing area for Side Imaging. This software will be released in January for the 898 and the 998. Name: 800.900.jpg Views: 2974 Size: 19.9 KB

    Wow.. That is a HUGE improvement... That was my biggest complain when I owned my 898. I got a 1198 now so I don't have that problem but I know this will make many many people happy! Good work..

    See guys... HB does, indeed, listen to their customers and answer their "wish list" items...it just takes them awhile...

    Now, if HB would just give my unit a user selection to turn this "Donut" into a directional boat icon below speeds of 0.5mph...

    We proved it can be done... With scientific evidence and video evidence...

    Hmmmm.....good news.....now to add the 858c to the list.....no down image or side image but some readouts on some views won't change and are not needed.....thanks HB for working on the fixes.....& yes the DONUT is hopefully next
