Lowrance set up question

I HAVE A HDS 10 ON THE CONSOLE AND A HDS 8 ON THE BOW. LSS2 TRANSDUECER ON THE TRANSOM. WITH THE 2D SONAR SHOOTING THROUGH HULL.
ON THE FRONT I HAVE THE 2 D SONAR ON THE TROLLING MOTOR.THESE TWO UNITS ARE LINKED VIA ETHERNET THROUGH THE SS BOX
ALSO HAVE POINT 1 RECIEVER LINKED ALSO.MY QUESTION IS IS THERE A WAY TO REPLACE THE TRANSDUECER ON THE TROLING MOTOR WITH ONE THAT I CAN VEIW DOWN IMAGING DIRECTLY UNDER THE FRONT OF BOATWITH OUT BUYING ANOTHER SS BOX?iI KNOW THAT I CAN CAN VIEW DOWN IMAGING NOW BUT IT IS THE VEIW FROM BACK OF BOAT. DOES LOWERANCE MAKE A TRANSDUECER JUST FOR DOWN IMAGING? iF SO HOW DO I HOOK THIS UP?

Yes, but it's not practical. You will have to install another LSS transducer on the tm and run the cable to your LSS box, then switch the cable on the box. You would have to switch the cable every time you want to change from the front to back. Also you will still need the 2d transducer on the tm. If you had a Touch up front all you would need is the transducer from an Elite 7 DSI.

They do make a HDI ducer that has down imaging and 2d sonar. I know they work with the touch units but not sure if they work with a gen 1 or 2

I have one on my TM. It connects directly to unit where 2d ducer connects.

I have that same unit on my Elite7 HDI. It is not touch screen.

It works with the Touch because it has built in Structure Scan, the Gen 1 & 2 don't.

let me ask this if i bought another ss box and transduecer and hooke to the unit on the bow could i still link these two together and select which transduecer i wanted to use

Yes. I have a LSS-1 on the bow and a LSS-2 on the stern and have the two boxes linked with a Ethernet cord. I can select either as the source from any unit in the network.
