I am currently looking to upgrade my electronics. When do you think a person would be able to get the 999? Also do we expect it will still communticate with the older 798 and the terrova w/link? I would hate to buy a 998 and then instantly want to upgrade to the 999.

Don't think anyone knows the answer to either one of those questions yet......unless a sponsor has some info on ship dates.

I can't imagine that the 999 wouldn't be able to talk to the 998. That would really tick off a lot of people.

I read that the dealer that started this info at bbc is now taking pre-orders...

I would think Brian at BBG or David at Shut Up and Fish would soon be able to do the same...

Rickie, you are correct. We would be happy to take pre-orders but within the last couple of days, I heard the pricing has changed (came down) on at least one of the new units. If I get more details I can share, I will be happy to. Brian

Down Imaging does not show fish as arches. They appear as a blob and that is what Brettw is referring to.
