So I have a Power Drive v2 with iPilot and built in US2 transducer. What is the newest technology it can support as far as fishfinders are concerned? I have read various answers, but some say HB's Dual Scan is it's limit. I would like a model with GPS up front. Is a 581 my best bet?

The US2 supports any Humminbird unit capable of using the 200/83kHz DualBeam sonar. Here are the current Humminbird sonar-GPS models that can use the US2:
386ci Combo
597ci HD Combo
788ci HD Combo
858c HD
958c HD 1158c
There are many more older model Humminbird units that can also use the 200/83kHz DualBeam sonar and have GPS like the 581i Combo you mentioned.
Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to skip GPS on the bow, and save up for a fancy HD GPS SI unit for the console. Right now I just need something to replace an lowrance x37tx and x-4 that walked away earlier in the year. I really want to go with a used or old stock humminbird that has dual scan plus and a bigger screen. Color isn't important as I can't see the important ones anyway. Any tips on an older unit to keep my eye out for would be appreciated.
I don’t think that we made any black and white display units with a larger display than the 5-inch ones. Almost any of our non-Si or DI model units will be able to use the US2 sonar. Let me know a particular model and I will try and confirm the Dual Beam Plus usage or not. There have been too many older models to try and list here.
