I am looking into the HB 598ci HD SI unit, Living in south Louisiana "Map cards" are not much help so the single SD card slot will be good enough to save tracks and way points which is great for me, One question I do have is on the Transducer, My Lowrance that came with my Bass Tracker Proteam 175 TXW is mounted on the left side Transom and I see HB says mount on right side Transom for props that rotate clockwise.
I was kind of hoping the Transducer bracket would be very similar to the unit I have so I could just swap them out (without drilling holes) or not adding holes to the other side. Does it really make a noticeable difference on what side the motor I mount it? and if so how much of a difference?

Any info would be great.
