First time out with my new 597. So far I am impressed with it. Easy to use out of the box. Hooked it up to my terrova US2 and turned it on. Detail was super with no interference. I ran it off a dedicated 7 amp gel battery . Took along a spare battery just in case. Thermo line at Enid was obvious.around 21-23 ft. You could see the fish at the top of the 'Cline or just above it up to around 15 ft. Nothing below it.Put my Navionics card in and followed the cut just off the ramp. Caught some nicer fish there where the 597 showed them to be. Trolled across the dam area and set the I pilot to record the track. The chart plotter showed just how accurately the I pilot retraced the original route. Only drawback is the single card slot so I couldn't record.all in all a good unit for the near 500 bucks. Only rip is 30 bucks for the adapter cable!!!
