what works fully with 998 c

What HB units communicate fully with the 998C hd units?
Thinking of one up front, needs to have DI and 2d

Any ethernet compatible Humminbird fish finder will communicate by ethernet with a 998c HD SI unit.

A unit that had 2D and DI, like the 958c HD DI, will be able to share GPS and 2D sonar with the 998.

Top be able to share 2D, DI, and SI, the bow unit will also need to be an SI unit like the 898, 998, or 1198.

When you say “What HB units communicate fully with the 998C hd units?” are you meaning which units can share all of the same sonar as the 998 units? If so, than the list is limited to the 898c HD Si, 998c HD Si or 1198c Si models. The 798ci HD Si can share all but the 800kHz Si/Di sonar.

If all you want is a unit that will share some sonar but have 2D sonar and dedicated DI sonar capabilities than the list is: 788ci HD DI, 858c HD DI, 958c HD DI and 1158c DI models.
