Alumaducer? Anyone have experience with this?

I recently posted my frustration with knocking off my transom transducer. BPS rep told me about the Alumaducer from Vexilar. It is suppose to shoot through an aluminum hull w/o signal loss. Has anyone used this product?

Doesn't the unit that you are wanting to hook to it have downscan? They don't make an alumaducer that I know of that works with downscan units and it doesn't record temperature, either.
