Does anyone know if I can use the transducer from my humminbird piranha 170 on my new humminbird 587 ci hd? Sure would save me a lot of work if I could.
Thanks

I believe they both use a 200/83 dual beam transducer. My guess is yes. Humminbird Greg should be able to tell you for sure.
Shellback is correct: the PMax 170 uses the same 200/83kHz DualBeam transducer that the 587ci HD unit uses.
I think that strmwalker was thinking about the DI version of this unit (587ci HD DI) and if this actually is a 587ci HD DI model than he would be correct.
So many models it’s hard to keep everything straight! Thankfully I have the voices in my head to help me…![]()
Thanks for the help guys. I did get hold of humminbird service today and they said it was O.K. So it's on the boat and ready for Saturday at the Chip. All I have to do now is figure out how to use it.
