Here's a few screenshots from my last fishing trip.

1st and 3rd photos show how thousands and thousands of bait fish look swimming under the transducer. We had two green LED submersible (homemade) lights in the water at approx. 8' deep and the bait school was enormous after about an hour. They circled the lights all night, forming a 15' wide and 10' deep wall of circling bait school. It made me and my buddy dizzy if we looked at them too long. The bait school just kept growing and growing and contained shiners from 3" to 8" long. Below the circling shiners and also mixed in with this giant school of bait was catfish, bass and small stripers. The stripers would dart in and out of the school, grabbing their snacks at will, quite often on the surface. The cats and bass were mainly below the bait ball. The larger returns on the screen are these larger fish. We caught mid-sized and giant blue and channel cats all night in and just outside the circling school of bait.

Obviously, other photos are a few of the fish caught. Total was probably several dozen catfish (I lost count), two keeper crappie caught late in the afternoon/early evening measuring 15 1/2" and 11 1/4", a lot of cats and a couple 11" stripers (not shown) caught after dark. All fish were taken over and around the same submerged tree in 26' of water near outside of main channel bend on Boones Lake, East Tennessee, water temp 76F, lake near full pool. Crappie were caught on float rigs fished only 3' deep next to the tree trunk a few feet off a rock bank. Many of the cats were caught at 3' as well. I've never caught so many catfish in one night, especially so shallow.

It was quite exhilarating and an afternoon/night full of rod-bending fun!
