Default Humminbird 597 ci hd di

Just got this unit and having a little trouble with it. I bought the additional hotmaps card to go with it but do not understand all of the symbols on the chart. All so I'm having trouble seeing the fish marked my the unit in DI mode is there a setting for that. Right now I am using DI and sonar in split screen.

No not fish ID I can use the fish ID in the sonar mode or I can run split screen and have the sonar on top and the DI on the bottom. I speaking of this how do I make the unit show the fish attractors better or make them stand out more and what are these things in the bottom left of the Pics above the speed?Name: Happy Times 001.jpg

Some of those look like buoy markers but not sure about the longer mark on the first picture. You may have to contact Navionics to find out what it is.
