    Default motor guide mounting isolators?


    my terrova's suppose to arrive today. i bought 8 mg mounting isolators. are they a good fix or trouble waiting to happen?

    right. the flange is rectangular but its the same thing.

    What kind of material are you mounting it on? Fiberglass? Aluminum? Or aluminum over plywood. They don't do so well on just aluminum because eventually the metal will cut thru them due to vibrations. On the other 2 tighten up the bolts good and then after the next couple trips make sure they are still tight.

    thanks bill. i've got aluminum. tm just arrived and it looks like it might be easier to just use washers and locknuts.

    That would be much better with just aluminum plus some big flat washers. (fender washers)
