Default Need Help With Elite 7 HDI/GPS

I'm having a problem with the graph speed across the screen and I can't find a setting to speed it up and I've had a friend that's better then me with electronics and he can't find it either. I know it's probably right in front of our faces. Right know if I'm sitting on a tree top I can put the trolling motor on med and be 25yds down the lake and that tree top is still on the screen, that's how slow it is.

Please make your explanation easy to follow because I'm not electronic literate and I've just switched from Humminbird, Thanks

You might want to look this over. Best bet is to print it out, so you won't have to be "zooming in" with your computer screen to read some of it !!

I'm with Treeline ... I don't think Elite series units have a chart speed control. But, even so ... sounds like something ain't exactly right. Might just be a setting, or it could be a glitch in the processor.

Try adjusting your ping speed. Just turned mine on in the basement and it appears to go faster on the high ping speed. Haven't tried mine trolling yet, but that's where i was going to start. Just hit menu and highlight ping speed and it will give you 5 different speed choices. Let me know how this does on the water. Getting ready to push some cranks in a couple weeks and will help me with preperation.

Thanks for the answers, I will probably call Lowrance after I try one more time on the water.

I had a Elite 5 pro, no gps but pretty sure the ping speed will adjust the scroll speed on the HU.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Spoke with Lowrance and there is no setting for scroll speed, he said ping speed might help but didn't seem to confident about it. He says they get a lot of calls about that and he has told the higher ups about it.
