Minn kota Edge cutting pull up rope?

45lb, new and the rope rubs the bracket and the bracket is sharp and cut the rope in one day. Anyone else had this issue?

I have that TM, but it doesn't rub the bracket. The rope it comes with is junk. It rotted the first 6 months I had it and started breaking. I replaced it with a lawnmower pull cord. No problems since. I would file the edge of the bracket down if possible.

I used to have one it did the same thing , change it to a coated cable !
