    Default Lowrance Point 1 GPS

I just got the new point 1 GPS installed and I am not sure how to get the unit to recognize the nmea network and instruct the unit to default to the new external GPS unit. Can anyone help on this subject.

Depends on which unit you have, either push menu once or twice. It will give yoiu a NMEA option, select it and select the Point 1.

I can't seem to figure this thing out. I found the network menu, but i don't see where or how to swap it from the internal GPS. I know it is connected right because it says it is under the nmea network that the bus connection is on. If I unplug it says its disconnected. I have a hds 5.

Got to main menu and highlight Network, enter.
    Highlight Data Sources, enter.
    Highlight GPS, enter.

Blue Dot the antenna of choice here, then Exit.

If you don't see the antenna here, you might need to upgrade your firmware or your NMEA ain't working correctly

I have read on other forms... Be careful on where you mount the Piont-1. If it is to close to the trolling motor.
it will mess up the the Piont-1 heading.
