Don't ask me what happenned...I'ld be embarrassed to answer, but my Guest 2 bank 20amp (10 each bank) charger had water up to about half way. Without taking it apart, I let it dry and plugged it in. It appears to be working fine. Any ideas about what I can expect in the future? Should I take it apart and inspect it? I didn't think it would be watertight.

Opinions appreciated.

It should be water tight. Most of those type electronics are incased in an Epoxy type material. Not to say it couldnt have a small leak some where but highly unlikley.

X4 should be OK maybe want to check if any connections or terminals got wet & clean them up so no rust forms.

My Minn-Kota MK220 says it's "waterproof" ... yours says it's "watertight" (see 2.3 in this spec sheet: http://www.marinco.com/files/support...s/2620A_08.pdf )
Now ... I'm not exactly sure what "watertight" means, unless it has a seal or it's constructed so as to have enough pressure on the casing connection that water can't get past. And if you CAN take it apart (unscrew it, open the casing) then it probably does have some kind of seal around the case joints. It would be your call whether to temp fate & open it up, seeing as how you may end up making it LESS "watertight" by doing so ... and it may not be necessary to open it up, in the first place.

Thanks for the responses. It worked fine again yesterday and last night. I think it will be okay. If it goes out later I'll just consider the extra time I got to use it a bonus. Will double check batter and circuit breaker terminals.
Thanks again.
I also re-read the manual. On the back page is this statement of Warranty.
"This product is guaranteed for life against water damage."
Sounds good enough for me.
