?? Hummingbird 343 and 550 ??

I have a friend who has a 343 and a 550 for sale and i am in the marjet for a depth finder what are some high points and low points of these depth findrs which one is better?

That depends on whether you want a larger monochrome display (550) or a smaller color display with more vertical pixels (343c). The 550 has only a single sonar beam (200kHz 60 degree), while the 343c has DualBeam Plus sonar (200kHz at 60 degrees and 83kHz at 60 degrees). This allows the 343c to also have the 200/83kHz Split Screen View that the 550 does not have.

I recommend downloading the operations manual for each unit from the Humminbird web site and comparing features.
