    How fast should I be able to go and still get depth information? Mine quits working at about 12mph. Does this indicate my transducer needs to be moved?

    Yes, almost always.

    The other comes to mind is the water depth. Too shallow of water also affects depth reading.

    Try moving ducer down about 1/4 in below transom and angle it toward front of boat slightly. Just have to try until you find the sweet spot.
