    Default Navionics premium south

I just purchased a hot maps premium south disk and I have a question about the color scheme on my maps. I am planning on using it for grenada lake in ms and I am wondering why half the lake is white and half of it is in blue. I am wondering what this means and if anyone has and tips on using this map because I am unfamiliar with this product. Thanks

The blue is the shallow water areas. You can set the depth for the shallow water to your preference. I believe I set mine to 3 feet. It's a nice feature.

The Navionics cards don't cover some low water areas on most lakes. They surveyed the lakes when they were to low. There won't be any detailed info on the card for these areas. I use the built in Insight for these areas on my Lowrance units.

You can set the Navionics to 1 foot contours if you zoom in enough.

Be careful at Grenada, the stumps will get ya.
