Default MinnKota Maxxum stuck on WOT

This is the second day in a row my MinnKota Maxxum 70 variable speed has stuck on WOT when starting the fishing day...

It doesn't matter where I put the variable speed setting... the motor is WOT...

Yesterday it done it for about the 1st 30 minutes and then the motor just kinda went from WOT to normal in a split second...(I had variable speed set to 10, the motor was turning WOT, then it just dropped RPM to normal without releasing the power switch)..

I tried switching the button from "Monentary" to "Continious" and the motor still goes WOT...

Today... I set the variable to 10, pressed the power switch, WOT, without releasing power switch 200 yards later the motor just dropped RPM to normal again...

Then it's fine and normal for the rest of the day...

    Any ideas...??
