If it gets to the point you have hard water spots the Windex won't remove, wet a paper towel in White vinegar, place the towel over screen pat it down where it's touching all the screen and just let it sit for awhile. Then remove and rinse off with damp no lint cloth.

I've had this on my 1197 for 3 years and it still looks as good today as the day I installed it...
(I don't allow water spots to remain on it very long tho)...

ScreenPatronus, Screen protector - the difference is amazing.

Screenpatronus was half the cost of the Zagg and twice as easy to install...IMO..

Have used screen covers on all my depth finders since they came out great product and they don`t finger print or water spot so basically no cleaning unless fish guts, blood or coffee gets on them. Wet towel and clean again. Work great to protect the screen from bug spray which can destroy a screen........don`t ask.
