I really need a fishfinder before the spring crappie season.I want a fishfinder with gps,color,at least a 3in screen,and di if possible for a price under $350.It doesn't matter to me if used or new as long as it works.Please help thx in advance.

that unit that rickie showing above is agood unit.i dont have it but i do have its big brother the 597hddi that i can show you some pictures that i took with it.cost a little and it got bigger screen.these pictures will give you and ideal of the capabilities of the smaller humminbirds.

I've seen the Humminbird 587 as cheap as $307 new. It has GPS SD card slot 2D sonar and down imaging. As far as I can tell it is the same as the 597 but has a 4.5in screen instead of a 5in screen. A friend of mine has this unit and is a good one.

You are correct nabob but there is a difference in the pixel count for each unit too:
587ci HD has 640 vertical pixels by 480 horizontal pixels.
597ci HD has 640 vertical pixels by 640 horizontal pixels.
