    Default Re routing power cord

Going reroute my power cord to my 898. Going hook it straight to the battery,I've got the inline spade fuse, where should it be place, closer to battery or unit.

    Definitely close to the battery.
I almost started a fire and exploded a battery on one of the company boats once due to the fuse being on the opposite end… The fuse is there to protect your battery and boat – not the 898 unit, so it needs to be as close to the battery as you can get it. Otherwise any short that happens between the fuse and the battery could well cause a fire and short out your battery.
