    Short Grub

    I I were you I'd run a virus scan.
After going to that site lastnight and posting the link I shut down my computer. This morning my antivirus gave me a warning of a trogan horse detected in my Adobe Reader and removed it. I hope I didn't cause any harm.

I went over to look and I got "warned", and the trojan got sent to jail. The Trojan is definitely on that link.

Cane Pole I thank you. I don't know what you mean by that. I hope maybe you could or have a way to notify that link?

I've been looking but I may as well be looking for ice in Michigan. AIN'T workin.

    After re-reading, I guess I do.

On a 24 v. Its .75 per # of thrust on high speed . A 12v is one amp per # of thrust. That was from the Minn Kota Book.

The TM draw will vary quite a bit in use. Boat size, wind and water current change the draw on the motor as does changing the direction of the boat.

I would suspect that the fuse is to protect against locked rotor current. Thrust is a static measurement and really can't be calculated with respect to current. Like CatFan states, load current varies. You would need to know the H.P. rating of them motor to calculate proper current.

    Look at ohms law. P = I x E ...My v2 is 24v and max current 42 amp. P= 42 x 24 or P = 1008 watts. 1 hp = 746 watts. There is no way that my MK is over 1 hp.

    Look at ohms law with respect to measured rotor resistance. I measures about .2 ohms across my v2 rotor. P =I x I x R the P = 42 x 42 x .2 P = 352.8 watts

This would be more realistic. And this would be the locked current.

It would be nice if they published the hp rating.
