That place will work ,but don't expect any readings above idle speed, its just the nature of that transducer no matter where you put it

I have a 03 nitro nx750 and Iam a true rookie on deciding best placement for my transducer. I found this image on another forum an wondered what everyone thought about it. Would this be ok plae for the transducer?

Really?? What's a good transducer for it? This one will have to work for now but will get another later. I just didn't know if that place would be ok
Here is info on the HB HDSI Xducer installation with sections for different boat brands...
Installation & Networking Information Resource
The stock HDSI Xducer can be stuck down in water far enough to get high speed readings but doing so risks the Xducer being damaged by underwater obstacles...
Most glass boat guys are installing a XP 9 20 T thru hull Xducer for high speed 2d readings (using a AS Si DB Y cable) and mounting the HDSI Xducer up higher for protection...(that HDSI Xducer is $270 a pop)...

Granted mine is on a tin boat, but I have it stuck down in the water for on plane depth readings without issue. I've even hit a few "obstacles" and the only thing that happened was that it kicked up like it should.
One of the reasons I went with HB was for use of one ducer.

That's why I was wanting to mount it like that picture, cause I figure it I got myself in a situation that the ducer got damaged there I'm problem in trouble anyways. Might be wrong but that's what I came up with. Plus I was figuring it would be in the water to get decent high speed readings.
