    Default Garmin- New GPS

Garmin is coming out with a new GPS receiver that has a 10Hz per second refreshment rate. Is this better than HB & Lowrance?

Tom, this one is more in my price range. I have always liked Garmin electronics.

garmin GPS has always been solid. I haven't been a fan of their sonar, but I'm basing that on experience from 4-5 years ago. A lot may have changed since then. I'm interested though.

Great refresh rate & my Garmin handhelds were always fast & easy to use & accurate, but that said one still has to rely on the Government GPS signals.

DonG, does this unit handle the CHIRP technology? That is broadband that uses a special transducer that sweeps multiple frequencies. I read something in the Bass Times (I believe) about this new sounder technology.
