Having trouble with unit flashing on and off (2005 model). Lowrance says too old to repair. Any ideas or any one repair these units? Thank you, possum1

I hope you find someone, this just blows my mind. Those were expensive units even at todays prices.

Possum1. Is it actually turnig off and on or screen loosing sig SL then getting it back. If you are losing signal then it comes back with bottom reading the first check I would do is check transducer cable for break. I have had a couple do that. Wire making and breaking contact. Usually if mounted to hull at transducer or right at back of unit if it is moved around much. Ideal thing would use on someone elses boat with same hookups. New transducer way cheaper than new unit. Hope this helps some.
