Default Humminbird rubber block to stop roostertail

    Hi all,
I just traded in my little 13' boat and took my 788ci head off before I turned it in.
I replaced it with a 561 that just plugged right in.

I plan to install the mounting kit and transducer from the 561 on my new boat when I get it later this week along with my 788ci head. The mounts and transducer are the same.
Where things get different are in the transducer mount. The 788ci came with a mount that can lift up if it hits something but the 561 mount is fixed.

When I installed the transducer for my 788ci, I had one heck of a rooster tail that was fixed by installing a small black rubber block in the transducer mount that came with the 788ci.
There is no such block with the 561 transducer mounting kit.

Does anyone know how I can get a new rubber block or if it is a part of the MHX XNT mount kit?
The Humminbird website does not show this particular part.

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Don

you can call or contact HB, or maybe HB Greg will come along and point you in the right direction.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

You will have to call Humminbird for this one as jimp stated. Ask for the 540188-1 XNT Arm Plug. They may know it better as the “roostertail plug”. 1-800-633-1468

This is not a new problem. You would think Hummingbird would address this. We used plastic tape as a quick-fix a couple of years ago. Could be a depth/location problem also. Haven,t had this problem with my Lowrance, I must have accidently done something right....
