    hey guys looks like i may be picking up a new minnkota i-pilot i'm currently on a twelve volt system will have to go to a 24v system do you guys think it wise to replace my current deepcycle with 2 new deep cycles. just wondering.

    I'd go with 2 new battery's that way the older one won't pull the new one down

    2 new ones for sure. Keep other for backup. Ask around and maybe find a couple old cores some where.

    Just a thought but maybe you should wait til December to upgrade to the I-Link. If I would of known about it 6 months ago I wouldn't have upgraded then.

    I agree, the new one way more features and is only a few months from being released. I'd wait and get it.

    And go with 2 new batteries. If this one is still good and you night fish, you could use it to power your lights.

    If you dont pull cranks you can use a 12v. system. I have a 12v 55 PD and can spider rig all day. Can pull cranks for 5 or 6 hrs, depending on the wind. Im hooked up to 2 12v.

    I have Terrova 12 set up same way and havent come close to running batteries down.

    i haven't started pulling cranks yet,but i will be going to the 70# thrust and i believe i'll need 2 deep cycles right?
