Default Sneak Peek at i-Pilot Link on the water

As many of you probably know, Minn Kota is getting ready to release i-Pilot Link, which unites Minn Kota trolling motors, Humminbird fish finders, and LakeMaster digital GPS map chips into one unified boat control system. I just started running an i-Pilot Link system, and am happy to be able to share some first hand observations about its features and operation.

In this video, I demonstrate the enhancements to the popular Spot Lock feature that are possible by networking i-Pilot Link to my Humminbird 1198c. Our target this day was mid-summer largemouth deep in the pads:

I think humminbird would sell more of these if they would have made it work with navionics maps
no lakes in our area here in tennessee are mapped by lakemaster.

About the only feature that is LakeMaster-specific in i-Pilot Link is the "Follow the Contour" option. All of the other functions will work with any map chip, or no map chip at all.

I think the parent company owns Lakemaster now is the reason it is set up this way...
