Default Looking for Humminbird 581i DI Reviews

I know a couple of folks picked up Humminbird 581i DI combos. How have y'all liked them so far? For those who are using them on the bow, what are your thoughts? Next question- can they run on standard greyscale or DI, or is it DI only? I want one bad.

    Thanks,
    WK

Humminbird DI units can display 2D (conventional) sonar only, DI sonar only or both at once using a split screen. You also have your choice of two 2D sonar and two DI sonar beams.

The 581i DI is a monochrome (Black & White) display unit, so it can only display sonar returns in a grayscale format (not color).

The 581i DI is basically a 570 DI unit plus GPS and mapping capabilities. So anyone with a 570 DI should be able to give you a review of their sonar, which would be the same.

I have one and really like it. I have mine on the bow and it works fine up there. Yes you can use just the standard 2D sonar or DI. It is a goiod unit and I bought mine off of a guy on here. Pm me with any other questions.
