I have a HDS 10 and a 8 networked together with the Ethernet cable and also the NMEA network. The problem is that when I have one of the HDS set on Structure scan in the Downscan screen it will not show the depth. It will show the bottom and also mark fish and structure but it will not show the depth. If you put it in the Automatic depth range it will show like 10 feet even when you are in 50 feet of water. Sometimes it will show the depth of the water but usually only ----. So it doesnt seem to be the transducer because it still marks the bottom and structure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I did have it turned off at one time but now it is on. If you notice in the picture it is showing 1.5 feet but I am in water over 100 ft.
sorry thought that was the mph... i misunderstood i thought it wasnt showing the depth. Cant really help ya if it showing the wrong depth becuse i never had that problem... ive had to reset my setting to defaut a time or two because i started having other problems. might be worth a try. hope ya figure it out!!!
you said u have it network... do ya have a structure scan transduce on the trolling motor? just a thought it could be using the wrong transducer and picking up the trolling motor one when out of the water... that stumped me with my normal sonar when i networked mine.
While on that screen goto page menu and check your data overlay, You gotta turn your data overlay on. Also in the Network menu, check data sources , highlight Sonar and make sure Structure Depth is set GLOBAL.
