Default Minn Kota trolling motor quick release brackets.

From my understanding both the MKA 21 and the MKA 32 both fit the TerraNova trolling motors but they have different designs. The 21 uses a sliding pin design, the 32 a cam lever design. Is the 32 a better mount to justify its $40 odd dollar price difference? Anyone use them and what are your opinions?

I got the model 21 with the pin, which you can lock with your own lock for security. I bought it mainly for the ease of removing the motor if I needed to. However, it made installation a breeze. It is easy to fit the bracket to the motor in your shop where you can get to it easily. Then you only have to mount the puck to your transom and your are done. Just be sure you check your motor for clearance in your boat before you mount the puck. It sticks into the boat a lot further than the cable driven motors.
Not familar with the lever mount model 32

I have the model with the pin also. Very handy come duck season. Take off lock, pull pin, unplug cord-good to go. Very stable mount, no slop.
